How do I get ahci enabled? When I try and enable ahci in the bios, agfa arcus 2 driver i get a bsod when vista is booting. What drivers work best for you right now?

Also, the drivers i got with my laptop, those won't work since they're only for Vista right? Beware, though, because bit drivers aren't available for the video card yet. Is there any included software that I will need to reinstall? You can use an unzip program to open the exe. Otherwise, this ultraportable should easily sit at the top of any laptop shopping list.

Like most of us I hate Vista. Really appreciate if anybody could come up with something in lay mans terms. After I restarted it again, a dialog box saying the recovery has failed appear. The driver is loaded sucessfully from a floppy disk.

All you can hear is a bit of very quiet high pitched electronic buzzing, and only if you put your ear very close to the machine. Mainly I am just trying to get all of the drivers ill need found before doing anything. Everything else is included in the default set of Vista drivers.

Unfortunately, there's so such luck with audio drivers. Of course, the first thing I did after getting the machine was format the hard drive. It's been a while since Dell delivered a laptop that possessed so many awe-inspiring features. My only peeve is that the weight can get up there with the nine-cell battery.

This is an outstanding machine for people like me who think laptops were meant to be portable first and foremost. Overall, I love the M, and I'd recommend it unconditionally to anyone who shares my preference for an uncompromising, ultralight laptop.

If that doesn't work, hold the power button until the notebook turns off. Now I've decided to go back to vista but this seems to be a much more difficult task than i first tought. The resulting Windows Experience benchmark scores are almost the same for both laptops, too. It's blazingly fast and completely silent.

If i reformat the sony vaio fw with an actual vista disk do i need to be worried about losing any type of function? In modified ini dll files were missing. In Vista this never happened! It should definitely help people like me.
